Bill Katka has taught at DCA for about 22 years. He graduated with an undergrad degree from Bob Jones University in 1977 and earned his M.A. in dramatic production from the same institution. He attended college on the West Coast before transferring to BJU. While earning his masters degree he worked as a graduate assistant teaching public speaking and participated in several productions in the various theatres of Bob Jones University.
Bill worked with the Academy of Arts of Taylors, SC for two years doing drama seminars in Christian Schools and touring during the summers. Before coming east he worked with the Portland Civic Theatre and the Lower Columbia College theatre program directing and acting in various productions.
At DCA he is responsible for the speech program, theatre productions and teaches history, as well as helping his favorite choral director with the choir tour program.
